Le Contina matic II est fabriqué en utilisant un corps et un capot identiques à ceux du Contina I (dit Ic). Deux ouvertures supplémentaires ont été percées sur le capot afin que la cellule couplée intégrée dans le capot puisse prendre la lumière et donner des indications.
Si l'objectif est le même, l'obturateur du Contina matic est un Prontor SLK Spezial.
